When should I do a FAFSA?
Starting on October 1 each year, complete the FAFSA, along with any other financial aid applications your chosen school(s) may require. You should submit your FAFSA by the earliest financial aid deadline of the schools to which you are applying, usually by early February. If you need help completing your FAFSA email FAFSA@hawaii.edu
What do I need to complete a FAFSA?
- 2022 W-2 forms for you and your parents
- 2022 federal income tax forms for you and your parents
- Most current statements from all accounts for you and your parents (checking, savings, investments, etc.)
- Child support paid or received Value of investments, farms, business
- Other prior year benefits (workers comp, military, clergy, veteran amounts
