Although some colleges are going test-blind or test-optional, it is still recommended for students that are intending on applying to a 4-year college to take an ACT and/or SAT.
All students that are classified as a Junior (17+ high school credits) will take the ACT at Castle High School during the school day in the Spring free of charge. Registration for any other attempts at taking the exam falls on the responsibility of the student.
Students that receive Free or Reduced Lunch at Castle High School are eligible for a fee waiver for both exams and is good for up to 2 exams. Please see the Post High School Counselor for these waivers.
ACT
Registration for the ACT exam can be done on the ACT website at www.act.org
Cost for the exam:
- Exam fee (no writing): $68
- Exam fee (with writing): $93
- Late registration is an additional: $36
- Fee waivers for Free or Reduced Lunch eligible students.
SAT
